Policies

  • In order to confirm a wedding with Occidental Hotels & Resorts a non-refundable deposit of $500 USD is required; which will be used towards wedding extras or the wedding package chosen.
  • Final payment is due after the final meeting with the Wedding Coordinator.
  • A last-minute wedding is considered when booking thirty (30) days or within thirty (30) days of the wedding date.
  • Any guest(s) attending the wedding but not staying onsite must purchase a wedding pass in order to gain access to the hotel. It has a fee of $19USD/person. The hotel will only allow the purchase of wedding passes up to a maximum of 20% of the total number of guests attending the wedding.
  • Guests with wedding day passes are allowed on property one (1) hour prior to ceremony and until wedding activities have ended. Guests can purchase a wedding day passes with their wedding coordinator prior to arrival and pick up at the front desk.
  • A fee is charged for each third-party vendor contracted that is not a preferred vendor of the hotel.
  • If couple cancels the wedding ceremony more than three (3) months before the wedding date, all payments other than the non-refundable deposit will be refunded.
  • If couple cancels the wedding ceremony three (3) months or less prior to wedding date, there will be no refunds of any kind
  • Government taxes are subject to possible modification without prior notice due to changes in government regulations
  • If a dinner reservation is included with your package, the reservation will be held for fifteen (15) minutes. If arriving after 15 minutes, you have forfeited your reservation
  • Floral selections are subject to availability depending on time of season.
  • Delivery gift (provided by the couple) may be delivered to guest rooms and an additional charge of $14USD/room per hotel staff. Couple may not deliver themselves for privacy reasons.
  • Certain items cause environmental damage to the ecosystem and local wildlife; items such as balloons, artificial petals, wish bottles, confetti and wish lanterns are restricted. Any candles brought must be battery operated. The use of fire is prohibited.
  • Package inclusions cannot be credited or exchanged for other services
  • Any other services not mentioned here are available with an extra charge.
  • Additional fee applies if guests exceed the numbers included in the package.
  • *Open bar and 3 pieces of appetizers per person. 3 high tables and white linens. Time and location of cocktail will be subject to availability.
  • **Including 3 course meal (set menu is required) or basic buffet, basic set-up, white Tiffany chairs, International open bar and dedicated staff for 3 hours. Performed at the Beach Club Restaurant / Beach Level is available for an additional charge.
  • Government permission fee to perform a ceremony at the Mayan Ruins is not included.
  • Guests not staying at the resort and attending the wedding must pay a wedding pass.
  • Packages prices do not include accommodations.
  • There are no refunds in cash or credit for services not utilized.
