Pros and cons of The Fives Beach
PROS
- An easy taxi ride and you can be anywhere you want. Shopping at Playa del Carmen? You can even go twice a day… Visiting water parks? In a snap! Exploring Mayan archeology or underground caves? Super close! We believe location here is key.
- Their restaurants offer astounding options that will surely coddle your tastebuds. Tour the world from your table with dishes from France, Asia, Italy, and Peru… you can even participate in the preparation of a traditional Mexican meal, just like visiting your Mexican Abuela! (grandma). A paradise for foodies.
- They go all-in for the kids and teens! Crafts, classes, fitness, playgrounds, pools, and even spa and beauty treatments for pampering the whole family together. Baby amenities in the room include high chairs, a stroller, a baby monitor, and steam sterilizers. You can leave them all at home and pack light.
CONS
- The property was designed to be a condo, so the layout may be different from any other beach resort you visit.
- Same reason there are no direct ocean views from any room. Maybe if you have a top floor you can get a glimpse of the ocean, but not really.
- The resort is located right next to a popular public beach. If you visit during the weekend, chances are there may be locals and visitors enjoying the beach.
The Fives Beach and COVID
The Fives Beach Resort complies with all local and international sanitary regulations to keep everyone safe and healthy. Hygiene protocols include sanitation of surfaces, reduced capacity in certain crowded areas, and the use of open-air spaces as much as possible.
The staff undergoes checks of body temperature several times a day, and the use of face masks for the staff is mandatory. These are all very standard procedures nowadays in most resorts.

Beach Wedding Venue
Close the deal with sand in your toes, a blue backdrop, and the breeze of the beach. MAXIMUM CAPACITY: 150 guests for the ceremony, 200 guests for a cocktail and reception.
Beachfront Gazebo Venue
Dramatic, modern, and private. Beachfront Gazebo is located next to the pool, in a quiet place overlooking the ocean. MAXIMUM CAPACITY: 100 guests for the ceremony, 150 for a cocktail, and 80 for a reception. Location is available with a $1,000 USD Fee per ceremony, and $15 USD per person for the reception.
Grand Garden Venue
A big lawn area surrounded by tropical greenery. It is located right next to the ballroom, so you get privacy and convenience if you are using the indoor venue as well. MAXIMUM CAPACITY: 100 guests for the ceremony, 200 guests for a cocktail, and 150 guests for the reception.
Sky Wedding Deck Venue
