Pros and cons of the TRS Costa Mujeres
PROS
- The property was built in 2018 and closed during the lockdown time, so everything is still brand new and in pristine condition.
- The resort is surrounded by upscale resorts and far from public beaches, so it truly is very exclusive and private.
- All Costa Mujeres and Playa Mujeres areas have an impressive ocean view, very untouched mangroves, and sand dunes so you do feel like visiting a virgin, isolated beach.
- As proud members of The Leading Hotels of the World, they really deliver on the promise of high-end services and unique experiences from check-in, to check-out. It’s impressive!
CONS
- The property is HUGE. For mobility-challenged guests, it could be difficult to go from one place to another.
- There is a golf car transportation service between buildings. This service is going back and forth all the time but in high occupancy seasons, guests may need to wait a bit to find one available.
- Due to the layout of the buildings, oceanfront rooms don’t really have a full oceanfront view, you do see the beach from your balcony but first, you see another room building, and then a little to the side is the water.
Rooms and Sections
The 469 suites are divided into three buildings, most of them will have some sort of ocean view or panoramic view of the water canals and resort from the terrace, and all of them have the benefit of butler service to assist you in any need during your stay.
All rooms are spacious, tastefully decorated, and offer a completely stocked minibar, a Nespresso coffee machine, a hydromassage hot tub, aromatherapy, and a pillow menu.
The Swim-up suites offer the ultimate comfort with impressive views from the terrace and private access to a pool lane.
Unfortunately, full-frontal view rooms are exclusively for the TRS Palladium Club and are not available to book directly or anywhere else. But you still have beautiful views from all rooms!
The Beach
Just WOW, the beach in this area is amazing. You can walk for miles on either side and enjoy inspiring sunrises or romantic sunsets.
The whole Costa Mujeres area is a little far from anything else, so you will only see guests from TRS Costa Mujeres and neighboring resorts. It is very unlikely to see locals at all in this area, so that’s an added bonus to the privacy and exclusivity of the resort.
There is a little more wind and waves here if you compare it to other areas in Cancun. This combined with the large size of the beach makes it ideal for windsurfing, parasailing, and other water sports.
Food & Drinks
Dining at TRS Coral Costa Mujeres is quite an experience in every sense. Head chef Diego Salas has an incredibly talented team in each restaurant, so if you are a food enthusiast rest assured your expectations will be met and surpassed.
Thai, Indian, Japanese, Italian, Mediterranean, and a Steak House are the specialty restaurants you will find to satisfy your cravings, plus you can enjoy all the restaurants available at Grand Palladium, too.
If you feel thirsty, there is a swim-up bar, a 24-hour sports bar, the Lobby Bar, and Gravity Sky Bar with panoramic views of the property and of course, your in-room mini-bar, all with premium brand drinks so really a drink is just a few steps away.
Activities, Sports & Kids Club
If you want to keep busy during your visit, there is much to do and see here! You can perfect your twist solo or in pairs at Rafa Nadal Tennis Center, get a relaxing treatment at Zentropia Spa, or shop around at the village plaza.
At night, you can be entertained at the theatre where talented dancers, singers, aerialists, and more take the stage to display wonderful performances every day.
Chic Cabaret is an exclusive dinner show not to be missed! Enjoy a delicious meal complemented by choreography and music from the most influential tunes in history. This experience is not part of the all-inclusive package, but TRS Costa Mujeres guests receive a substantial discount on the rate.
As an adults-only property, there are no kids club or kid activities in the area however, if you visit Grand Palladium facilities or the common areas, you may see some kids here and there.

Catholic Chapel
Say I DO in an ultra-modern and minimalistic chapel, only for Catholic services / MAXIMUM CAPACITY: 80 guests seated, plus around 20 more standing totaling 100 guests.
Beach Wedding Location
A long stretch of sand with infinite blue waters / MAXIMUM CAPACITY: 300 guests for a ceremony and a cocktail, around 150 guests for a reception.
Beach Deck Venue
With an impressive ocean view but no feet on the sand, surrounded by vegetation / MAXIMUM CAPACITY: 100 guests for a ceremony and a little less for a cocktail or reception according to the setup.
Village Deck
Located right next to the restaurants, theatre, and the Catholic chapel, with a beautiful view of the water canal / MAXIMUM CAPACITY: 250 guests for a ceremony or cocktail.
Wedding Plaza
Outside the conference center, this huge open space is ideal for super-large events. There is a minimum guests of 100 if you wish to use this venue, and it’s so large you could make the whole party here / MAXIMUM CAPACITY: 300 guests.
Glass Room
Inside the convention center is a beautiful area that’s mostly used as a backup for ceremonies. If you plan to use this location then you have to use the adjacent meeting rooms since all the area must be closed for your event / MAXIMUM CAPACITY: 200 guests for a reception.
Poseidon Venue
One of my favorite venues! Check out the beautiful view plus, it’s a private location. And it’s very close to the other wedding venues so your guests won’t miss any of the party! This venue is exclusive of TRS Coral guests / MAXIMUM CAPACITY: 100 guests for a reception
Atrium Terrace
Located right outside the lobby bar is a very private area with beautiful views of the water canals / MAXIMUM CAPACITY: 60 guests for a cocktail hour.
Gravity Terrace
This is the ultimate location for a cocktail hour for your wedding. You get panoramic views of the resort and almost 360 views of an immense and beautiful beach. Stunning all the way! Take note this venue is available before 8 pm since it serves as a bar for the guests of the hotel, exclusively for TRS Coral guests / MAXIMUM CAPACITY: 100 guests for a cocktail hour.
