From the moment you enter, you arrive in Mexico from the past, with all the furniture and decor, this place is something special. We’ve been there a few times, and have seen the place in the sun, with stormy weather, and with different occupancy levels. We’ve loved it each and every time.
Plus, the service here is stellar. You can feel how genuine the staff is, and how they would really go out of their way to make your stay a wonderful vacation. Shoutout to the wedding department!

PROS
- The resort is literally minutes away from the archeological site and Tulum Town, so it’s super easy to go ride a bike in the jungle, and visit famous restaurants, exotic cenotes, and iconic spots.
- Their beautiful Spanish-style Catholic chapel is the perfect venue for a classic wedding, very convenient since you don’t have to leave the premises and lose precious time during your celebration.
- The resort has received the AAA Four Diamond Award since 2015, so you can rest assured they know their thing about customer service.
- Can you believe they have a cute little dog park! You can travel with your furry friend worry-free.
CONS
- If you come from far, customs is very busy or you get any issues with your luggage, an 85-minute ride can be a little frustrating. (but worth it!)
- The concept and architecture of Dreams Tulum are Mexican Colonial Hacienda with contemporary touches. If you are used to ultra-modern and chic resorts, it may look outdated.
- There are only two pools in the resort. One activity pool and the relaxation pool. They are very large for sure, but during high seasons it could feel a little packed.
