Our experience
From the moment you enter, you arrive in Mexico from the past, with all the furniture and decor, this place is something special. We’ve been there a few times, and have seen the place in the sun, with stormy weather, and with different occupancy levels. We’ve loved it each and every time.
Plus, the service here is stellar. You can feel how genuine the staff is, and how they would really go out of their way to make your stay a wonderful vacation. Shoutout to the wedding department!

• Location! Location! The resort is literally minutes away from the archeological site and the charming town of Tulum, so it’s super easy to go ride a bike in the jungle, and visit famous restaurants, exotic cenotes, and iconic spots.
• At Hola, we hold a special place in our hearts for their stunning Spanish-style Catholic chapel. Not only is it incredibly convenient – no need to leave the premises and waste precious time during your celebration – but it’s also a picture-perfect and romantic venue for your dream wedding.
• The blend of lush jungle, pristine beach, and charming bohemian Hacienda style is truly one-of-a-kind, transporting you to the heart of old Mexico while offering luxury and modern comfort!
• Dog lovers, rejoice! 🐾 The resort boasts an adorable dog park and is super pet-friendly. Bring your fur baby along on your Riviera Maya adventures without a worry in the world, all thanks to Dreams Tulum!
CONS
•The resort isn’t the easiest to access from either Cancun Airport or the new Felipe Carrillo Airport in Tulum. Expect a travel time of 50 to 85 minutes to reach your destination, plus any potential delays with customs or luggage. It can be a bit frustrating, but as they say, nothing good comes easy – and you certainly won’t regret it!
• For those who love ultra-modern and contemporary designs, it’s worth noting that the concept and architecture of Dreams Tulum are inspired by Mexican Colonial Hacienda style, which may feel a bit outdated for some.
• There are only two pools in the resort, they are very large for sure, but during high seasons it could feel a little packed.
Rooms and Sections
If the resort facilities are in the Classic Mexican Hacienda style, rooms on the other hand have a more sober, modern style. Think about warm, dark tones, wooden furniture, and lots of marble.
The Preferred Club offers special details like hammocks on your terrace, indoor hot tubs in some categories, a special pool and bar area as well as a secluded beach spot just for this room section.
Swim-out suites are available in the family and adults-only areas of the Preferred Club.
For those couples and travelers looking for a more private and tranquil trip, the Adults-only section offers intimate areas surrounded by lush gardens, fountains, a central plaza, and benches, where you will feel yourself in the old Mexico.
The Beach
Tulum is famous all over the world for having phenomenal beaches, and Dreams Tulum is no exception. Two miles of white powdery beach with tranquil, clear waters will surely satisfy your beach expectations.
Here you can swim, kayak, or simply float and relax under the sun. Since there are very few waves, kids and elders alike can enjoy their time in the water, too!
